Hi! Welcome to Support Cancer Patients. We are a cancer family ourselves, fighting stage 4 colon cancer. Throughout the years (since 2012), we have benefited from many cancer support groups and the friends we made through those sites. Finally, we felt we'd take everything we've learned and build our own cancer support forum, news, and information site. You are welcome here, visit often, and when in doubt, message us through the 'contact us' tab. Alternatively, message username Sarah C (that's me, one of the founders!)

Since this is an online forum, please remember these ground rules.
- Keep it friendly
- Be courteous and respectful. Appreciate that others may have an opinion different from yours.
- Stay on topic. When creating a new discussion thread, give a clear topic title and put your post in the appropriate category. Try to stay 'on the topic' when contributing to an existing discussion. Start a new thread if something new comes up within a topic you would like to discuss.
- Share your knowledge. Don't hold back in sharing your knowledge – it's likely someone will find it helpful or interesting. When you give information, provide your sources.
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.

We maintain the right to remove posts and threads to ensure that material posted in the discussion forums is not potentially harmful. For this reason, we may edit or choose not to publish any post that:
- contains political or hate speech
- contains disrespectful or derogatory remarks about any person
- contains advice or content that we believe is damaging, unhelpful, or distressing to others
- contains egregious swearing or offensive language, is nonsensical and irrelevant
- promotes personal beliefs in a way that is disrespectful of the choices of others
- is racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit or suggestive, abusive or otherwise discriminatory or objectionable

Welcome to supportcancerpatients.com; we are so glad to have you join the conversation and find the support you need while supporting others. All of the above is just common sense, a simple rule set to encourage a wide variety of engagement by people of all types.
