Pemetrexed

Pemetrexed: Pemetrexed, sold under the brand name Alimta, is a chemotherapy drug that belongs to the class of antimetabolites. It works by inhibiting enzymes involved in the synthesis of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), essential for cell replication. By disrupting nucleic acid production, pemetrexed inhibits cancer cell growth and induces cell death.
